At Zola, we believe lasting wellness doesn't come from a prescription or a meal plan alone — it comes from the right people walking alongside you. We'd like to introduce the two women at the heart of our nutrition program.
Dr. Dawn — Naturopathic Physician & Co-Founder
Dr. Dawn co-founded Zola with a vision of care that goes beyond treating symptoms. With over two decades of naturopathic practice, she brings a breadth of experience that shapes everything about the way this program is built.
Her background includes twelve years as Medical Director of an eating disorder treatment center, followed by five years leading a residential treatment center for addiction and PTSD. That history gives her a rare and deeply human understanding of how health, healing, and the body are all connected — and it's a big part of why she approaches Zola's GLP-1 program the way she does. She isn't prescribing because it's trending. She's bringing over two decades of whole-person care to every client who walks through the door.
At Zola, she works with both men and women across a wide range of health goals. One area she sees often is supporting women through perimenopause and menopause — a season of life where hormonal shifts can lead to significant changes in muscle and bone density. It's one of the key reasons body composition tracking is central to our program: we're not just watching weight, we're protecting long-term strength, metabolic health, and quality of life.
Juliana Torres — Nutrition Coach
Juliana's relationship with food as medicine started early. As a child, she watched her mother's health transform after working with a naturopathic doctor and changing the way their family ate, that experience never left her. It's part of what eventually led her to earn her degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Arizona. But what sets Juliana apart isn't just her education — it's her philosophy. She believes health isn't about restriction. It's about balance, self-awareness, and learning to actually listen to your body.
She'll be the first to tell you that a cookie or a donut isn't the enemy — that craving is your body communicating something and suppressing it without curiosity isn't the answer. That's where intuitive eating comes in. Juliana's goal is to help people make lasting lifestyle changes, not hand them a plan and send them on their way. Before anything else, she wants to understand your history with food, your sleep, your stress, your day-to-day life. Sessions are client-led — she's there to teach, support, and guide, not dictate. She loves cooking and brings a genuine enthusiasm for food to her work, while fully respecting that balance looks different for everyone.
Her approach is grounded in motivational interviewing and intuitive eating–informed principles, and she meets every client exactly where they are — without judgment, without rigid rules, and with a lot of heart.
Why It Works
Dr. Dawn and Juliana bring different but deeply complementary strengths to Zola's nutrition
program. Together, they offer care that is both medically grounded and genuinely human —
because that's what real, lasting change requires.
